Earth bag School Project - 2019

Despite it being three and a half years since the earthquake of 2015, many areas of Nepal are still not up to where they were before the quake.

We receive many requests to support building and infrastructure projects, from mini-hydro schemes to water infrastructure projects to schools.

Yes, all of these are necessities; water, electricity, and education.

While there is some skill-transfer in employing Nepalese people to dig ditches and wire power systems, we believe that teaching the skills of earth bag construction are skills that will continue to serve indefinitely; building halls, schools, and also homes.

So, our next project is, you guessed it, another earth bag school.

So we are now gearing up for the 2018 building season.

Using sustainable earth bag design, our schools are designed to withstand earthquakes that exceed that of the devastating quake that struck on 25 April 2015.

The proof of this design was highlighted by the fact that all of the 9 earth bag buildings already in existence in Nepal prior to the quake remained fully in-tact, despite the 7.8 whopper.

We invite you to donate by selecting the donate option that you feel the most comfortable with.

If funds raised are insufficient to undertake a complete project, funds will be used to support an earth bag school project managed by another Non Government Organisation, and one that we trust.
